What Do You Do?
What Do You Do?
In a nutshell: I efficiently bridge the gap until your team is whole again. I can cover just about any role in a practice setting. Reception, laboratory, exam rooms, nursing care, radiology, surgical assistance and preparation, anaesthesia from induction through recovery, triage, client education, quality control, inventory management, equipment maintenance... the list is endless. For paperless or paper-light practices, I can also provide some computer or networking assistance.
Do I Have to Put You on Payroll?
Do I Have to Put You on Payroll?
No. That headache is completely avoided. I look after my own taxes, insurance, OAVT dues, continuing education, etc. As a contract employee, I submit to you an invoice. You simply pay me either electronically or by cheque upon receipt. No deductions, no tax tables, no T4 at the end of the year. Just an invoice like any other service or vendor.
How Much Notice Do You Need?
How Much Notice Do You Need?
That really depends on how quickly you need me. If I'm available, you can even contact me the day or evening before. I have an agreement that we discuss and sign prior to starting that outlines weekly hours, rate, and duties as well as confidentiality and payment terms. I can send it via email or fax so that arrangements can be made quickly and easily.
How Do I Book Your Services?
How Do I Book Your Services?
It's easier than you think. You can visit my Contact page or simply email me with the shifts for which you require coverage. If the request is short-notice (ie: tomorrow) a phone call or text is likely best. I'll email you an estimate and once that's approved, follow up with a copy of my agreement. With the ability to send documents via email or fax, this can happen very quickly if needed.
Once the agreement is signed, I'm all yours!
Should I Interview You First?
Should I Interview You First?
You can, but it's not mandatory. Depending on distance and schedule, that can be arranged or we can simply speak over the phone. However, if you are short-staffed as it is, you may not have the time to sit and interview me. With that understanding, I've put myself out here as much as possible. You can view my resume online to see the skills I've acquired over the years and what my experience is.
Do I Have to Sign?
Do I Have to Sign?
If you wish to book my services, yes. The agreement prevents any confusion between us. Knowing exactly when to expect me, what I will be doing as well as details that protect you and your practice such as privacy, non-solicitation, confidentiality, and what our responsibilities are to each other
Why the Cancellation Policy?
Why the Cancellation Policy?
Just like you, I'm here for my clients. Services can be provided on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. If you've booked me just for a day or so, and a week-long request comes in, it's not ethical or professional of me to cancel your day to take that week. However, if you then cancel your request, I've not only lost income from you but also from that other request I had to turn down.
